have upgraded tyres given you more steering response. how about the bushings, strut bars, anything. anything improved steering response.

I got some 17'' rims with Falkens on them and they gave me a whole lot more response.

Good tires and a suspension is good for starters.

all of the above will improve steering response. A bit of underbracing, *sway bars* and link components such as control arms will also improve response if for no other reason than performance ones come with better bushings.Stiffer/lower center of gravity helps as well.Don't forget alignment. If you're interested in good cornering adjust your camber, caster, and toe for improved response

thanks for the input.

I actually like stock handling, I just want more communication with the car. or something to help make the car easier to manipulate.

Biggest bang for the buck is just getting a great set of tires. Something thats said to be a "max performance" summer tire is what you are looking for. Doesn't even need to be a larger rim diameter as higher performance tires are built stiffer w/ beter responce in mind and will feel much more responsive than a budget tire or a mid range.

Agreed, tires are definitely the best handling bang for the buck. If you want to stay stock basically, I'd suggest some polyurethane bushings or something and some 200 or 205/50 tires. I use Kumho ecsta 712s they are prety fun. Yokohama avs es100s are also supposed to be good tires that I see many people use for autocrossing.

Replacing your tension rods with aftermarket ones help give you better turn in, steering response, and feedback. Consider it after you get sticky tires.
