I have no clue what to buy, how much to pay, or a good website to find them

looking for something sweet for the versa, nothing to flashy or needs regular cleaning

im assuming i would need tires also, and nothing to big (17 max) cause new orleans roads are a tad bumpy and im a horrible driver, i think i actually drive into the holes other than avoid them :P

Any help would be appreciated! Also looking for a website with versa stuff (don't know the correct term) like grills, body kits, interior stuff, shifters, and something to install my CD player with, i need a holder or adapter, something

i am completely retarded when it comes to things like this

THANKS!

http://www.tirerack.com will be your best friend for new rims and tires. If you're going to ride on 17's, consider lowering your ride too; a lower ride is a smoother ride. Tanabe makes springs that, I believe, lower your car by 1.5" or so. Expect to spend about a grand on good rims and tires, which is what you want, because the extra money spent will be worth it in the end. As far as kits go, Stillen makes a few parts here in the states and Impul can send parts over from Japan, but Impul is pricey. I've installed a new CD player, new speakers, and a subwoofer so I can help you in that department. There's a few threads with info on how to do such a replacement and a guide that I can email you if you're serious about doing it. I hope I can help you with any other questions you have, and welcome to the board.

actually lowering the car will not make it smoother. for the most part. most aftermarket lowering spring are stiffer to deal with teh body roll, and can be much rougher. also another thing is that 17 inch rim can be a rougher ride then 15 on account of the amount of rubber and air you have on it.

Here is my suggestion on searching for rims.

Deceided on teh color rim you want, not nessary one color, but the different set of color. aka gunmetal, silver, chrome, black, red etc.

Then look for a style that you want and see if they have your the color you want and the bolt patter. To note. our bolt patter is 4x114.3 . This is a common wheel found on nissan 240sx, Honda prelude 92-96, and i believe honda accords, 92-97. this give you a lil more option if your in the market for used rims. :p

Then find the size you want.

I havent found too many rims that fit all my criterial so i am still shopping around. For me i am looking for 17 gold/bronze rim. that weight less then 20 pounds a peices, and come in 4x114.3.

you might not believe me, but this hard because. EVERY rim i see that i like, dont come in my color. And if they do, they dont come in my bolt patter. sigh.

Hmm.. a couple things I'd like to add to what was said above.

1) if you have potholes, don't go larger than 16. The thinner your sidewall on your tire, the more harsh your ride will be... also if your sidewall is TOO thin, you can damage your rims if you hit a decent sized hole.

2) if you replace your springs, you will need aftermarket shocks. Running even good aftermarket springs will wear down your factory shocks FAST...

3) There are a couple body kits available. One is from Impul USA, one is from Stillen, I've heard rumors about a NISMO one for the Tiida overseas.(That was mentioned, just reiterating. I like the Stillen one myself)

4) If you don't want a rim that needs a lot of cleaning, avoid chrome and white wheels like the plague. Get a silver or charcoal painted rim, or maybe a brushed metal rim (they require a LITTLE more care than painted rims) I had a very attractive set of brushed metal rims on my Kia, that didn't require much more than washing them when I washed the car and occasionally using a polishing system (like the power ball polisher)... and a set of silver painted wheels on my Saturn that were easy as pie to keep up.

Yeah i don't wanna go as far as lowering it, not worth it here in N.O. i just want something that looks good, easy to mantain, and won't have to go 2 MPH over the slightest bump like all the other ppl with HUGE (saw like 24s on the dodge ram whew) rims :P

And as far as speakers go, >>I<< would not do the installing, im retarded when it comes to things like that. I just fork over the $$$ and get someone to do it (<3 student loans) I just wanna know what brand and blah blah - email is [email protected] kthx!

http://www.sonicelectronix.com is where you want to go for all of your audio stuff, you'll probably find the best deals there. I'd like to make some suggestions, but, if you don't mind, I'd also like to know what you're interested in; do you want a subwoofer, do you want amps, do you want a new head unit, etc?

Well i already have a kentwood something, plays MP3s, satellite radio, blah blah, but its not installed cause its like half the size of ours, so im assuming i need some sort of adapter. I want boomness too, maybe 2, 10s. or even one, whichever you think is best for the versa. obviously i would need an amp to power it. Also want all new speakers too, all err 4 lmao. Like i said, im very interested in what you suggest. So feel free to email me, or i have ALL messengers (MSN, AIM, and YAHOO) due to work so, let me know!!! kthx!

There's your sub and an amp to power it, it would be about the same setup that I have in my car. The 12" sub will add enough thump to your V at 400W, so unless you're looking to be in competitions or shake the cars around you, this will sound great in your car. You'll also have plenty of trunk space left with this in there.

There's your speakers, they aren't the ones that I have, but I know someone that's using them and they sound great. Hifonics is a very reliable company, and for 75W RMS speakers at $59.99 a pair, this is worth it.

Optional tweeters, just incase you want more crisp trebles.

Speaker amplifier, also optional, but highly recommended. If you want to go all out on your system, then buy this, if not, then you'll be fine without it, but it does make a big difference.
