Wouldn't it be faster than the speedometer says since the tires are a bit taller, meaning each revolution of the axle makes the car go a little fit further?SX APPEAL wrote:Like he said, the speedo will read slightly slower than your actual speed now, so take that into account when passing by cops
Please permit my intrusion. I have a stock 2006 M45 Sport. Would you be suggesting that I'd be ok with 245/45/19? Wouldn't it rub if I had rear passengers and luggage in the trunk?IlyaKol wrote:Your profile says you have an RWD M35, so I don't see why not. Even if you were AWD, I dont' know if that size is drastic enough to affect the AWD system. You should be good. It may throw off your speedometer just a bit, but shouldn't be by much.

That's exactly what I said, the reading on the speedometer will be slightly slower than the actual speed of the vehicle. Same as gearing the vehicle up. Had this bite me in the a** once when I had just installed a J30 diff in my S13. J30 has a slightly taller rear end ratio, so when I passed the cop going the other way thinking I was doing 28 in a 25, I was actually doing 33. Needless to say that was a long night...EniGmA1987 wrote:Slower?
