Is the model being dropped by Michelin? Or is it the sizes?

If you store them in a cool dark place they should be as good as if tire racked stored them in their warehouse.

I assume they are dropping the 235/60/15 as it was a very slow selling size because Q owners didn't understand the load index advantage.

Really hard to find Quality non directional 15" tires.

The 400 tread wear index is a misnomer on a car as heavy and stressful as a Q, but with proper rotation the Pilot H4 will deliver over 30,000 miles in the 235/60/15 size.

It's no Pilot Sport and beyond 15,000 miles is the equal or superior of any tire in the 15 " size. Some tires are softer in the first 5,000 miles or their directionality offers a little improvement till they wear in, but for a non snow all temperature [A/S] it's impossible to beat.

If you don't need 4 buy 2 for the front wheels, where the extra load index will help the most.

Don't usually recommend 2 brands [or 2 sizes] on a car but as long as they [235H4] are on the front - hard to go wrong. I know this is backwards as newist tires are supposed to be placed on the rear........but the front is so overloaded with conventional 215/65. Assuming you are like me and don't carry much extra weight in trunk or many rear passengers and trunk weight. As long as you don't have >400 pounds rear of divers seat

Many times I will run with 235 front/225 rear while experimenting [looking at various fun soft summer tires----but it's getting cooler and the rear KH-11 Kumho's have to go-------severe flat spotting in cool weather besides the balance problems.

There is no all around psi as each tire has a different static weight load on it depending upon passengers and trunk.

The front tires are 16% heavier loaded than the rears so the fronts need roughly ~~ 5 psi more than the rears.............34-35 psi cold front 29-30 psi rear would be the minimum to achieve near balanced slip angles without rear passengers or trunk weight......add a cold psi [on each rear tire] per 80 pounds of backseat/trunk weight.

Obviously 2 rear passengers and normal trunk junk ~~ 320 pounds or 4 psi~~35/35 psi cold..........because of the extra weight on drivers side I tend to run 1-2 psi higher on front and rear left tires as mostly I drive alone

35/33..........35/3433/31..........33/32

Lots depends on shocks, springs, swaybars, front shock tower brace, camber, toe etc. DRIVERS WEIGHT ~~ 170 for the above calculation

You know, my darn Yokohama AVS dB 225/60-15 (non S2) still have over half their tread at 28K. I have flipped them every 7K, but so far no problems, no feathering, and great in the rain.

This is the car that had the original Pilot Sport Michelins on it when I bought it with 26K 2.5 years ago. Drove across country from Brooklyn to Seattle on them, even passing the TireRack warehouse in Indiana with the Yokohama in the car because I douln't find any dealer to mount them. Duhhh. Michelins still had plenty of tread, but were cracked and aged from ozone. Mostly garaged, so UV was not much of a factor.

It will be interesting to see how they compare to new XGTH in a couple of months when they are together.

Does Michelin still offer the $60 rebate if you buy 4 tires?

Mine arrived today made in Brazil 49th week of 2003 so less than a year old -------good for winter. For sure 235/60/15 is a slow size in Brazil as it was oem for a 1986-90 BMW 735/745 in Europe.

People would be surprised that some slow selling sizes in high speed rating can sit for 2,3, even 4 years at some warehouse waiting for you.
