I've gone thru 3 ballasts, 2 sets of bulbs, not being able to use my auto and wasted time for some pretty lights. I'm taking these sh**s off. I'mma search for the original harnesses for my fogs and heads, but in case I don't find em, does anyone have them that I can purchase off of them?

i just had my first thing go wrong with my Xentecs after almost a year of using them. One of my bulbs started to go bad. i say started to go bad because it would fire up, and be a different color than my other 3 bulbs, then after about a min of being off it would go out. today i went and and confirmed that it was the bulb because i put a different bulb in and had no problem. upon further inspection of the bad bulb i saw that there was what looked like a little burnt area on the inside of the bulb towards the bottom. besides that i have had no problems with my 2 sets of Xentec's(except for cant using them with auto, but what slim ballast HID kit doesnt have that problem)

one of Xentec fat ballasts had gone bad too. But X-light is a good brand, it is still working great. I wouldn't buy Xentec brand again, but I no longer need to worry about HID conversion kits anymore since I sold the Altima.

I've heard this before about Xentecs, but not too often. So, I purchased McCulloch's for both of my car. My Jeep has had them since 2006 and my Altima since late 2007 - never have had a problem. I can't imagine driving another car without HIDs - you may regret it. Perhaps sell them and purchase from another manufacturer?

I'm actually the other way around.

I had X-lights and they died on me like in 5 months. I've had my Xentec's almost a year with no problems. *Knock on wood*

I think its hit or miss with any of these kits... I've had Xentecs in my wife's Sedan, she ONLY uses auto mode for her lights... they have never once misfired, never changed colors, they don't flicker... we didn't use a relay, and she has a 2.5. Oh yeah, and she's had them in her car since July of 2007

I've had Xentec 5000K HID's in my fog lights for over a year now also... they never misfire, but they do flicker once everry 5 minutes or so.. a relay should fix that!

Well, what can I say.. you get what you pay for. I got some JDM HID's (6K) from Japan for $170 in Sept 2007 (Did lots or research) and work like a charm.. No problems what so ever then I bought my (Now ex) girlfriend some X-light (6K) HID's for $80 and you can soo tell the diffrence.. not as bright and the ballast are waaay louder.
