Got an 092 2.5S sedan, and the place I got it from said their service department resurfaced the rotors and changed the pads. Braking performance sucks, and anytime I do light braking, the screeching is awful. Im guessing they used the cheapest after market ones they could find.

The Nissan dealership I took it to for diagnosing another problem said to only use Nissan pads. That all others would screech, and that after market brake pads, spark plugs, and intakes are all bad. The lady said she had been there for 15 years, and those three things always end up causing problems if they are after market.

I was planning on getting Hawk HPS pads, and Power Stop cross drilled / sloted rotors (all around for $400). Read online that makes a nice combo, and they don't make much noise, don't dust, and should last twice as long as OEM stuff. Plus improve braking performance substantially.

Anyone have experience either way?

I'm running Hawks with StopTech power slot's on the front of my G sedan and it's much better than factory. Give Mike a yell at tunerzstore.com for some great pricing.

I'll be going to similar rotors and pads on my coupe next spring.

Ive been finding posts that the Hawk pads squeak. Trying to avoid that most of all.

Also, the rear rotors are out of stock.

I looked around a bit more, and it seems Centric rotors and Akebono pads make a good OE replacement combo, with no noise or dust. $260 shipped from Amazon all around for the Centric premium E-coated rotors, and Ultra-Premium Ceramic Akebono pads.

Seem like a good bang for buck?
