Tired of my I30 diesel... Knock sensor help

I am looking for guidance from anyone who has hands on replaced the KS in their 2001 I30 (or similar gen Max of course). I am tired of my car sounding like a diesel on hot days up hill under load...Thanks, --Mike

not sure how much difference there is between the de and de-k motors. if you are facing the engine from the driver side fender, look at the top of the block directly below the upper intake manifold. it should be right there. if you hve a stock airbox, you might need to remove this to see. with an extension, some u-joints (knuckles, or whatever you call them) and you should be able to get it. if that doesnt help and you have any other questions just let us know.
