this might sound like a dumb question but i never got into the whole wheel and tire thing so i don't really know what offsets are and how wide you can go on a tire but my question is simple...how wide of a tire can be put on the rear and the front of the s13 fastback without modifying the fenders or getting wider fenders?...i know it would depend on the wheel but again i don't know much about wheel sizes so if you could enlighten me i would appreciate it. thanks.

the offset on your wheels is a major factor.

Say, for instance, I have 16x7 wheels, althrough I can mount 225/50/16 without any problem, the offset of 43 will cause the wheels to rub against something.

if on the other hand I have an offset of 20 then it's probably not going to rub. this is probab;y why most of the cheap knock off wheels, like konig, rotas... etc have high offset of usually 40+

but I am the village idiot, find out more at the suspension forumhttp://www.nissaninfiniticlub....d=140

I'm running 225/45/17 on 17x7 up front, and 245/45/17 on 17x8 in rear. They're falken azenis sports, which are quite big for their size as well. Offset is +35 for all wheels.
