on a 1989 240sx what is the largest wheel/tire i can put on?

im leaning towards 17" wheels. but i dont know what would fit 7, 7.5, 8, 8.5? what would be the correct offset to go with also. after reading post and doing some other reading i should be looking for something less than +20 correct? id also go a bit wider in the rear.

all fenders are stock and i have q's silvia fenders. id like to stear clear of rolling them if possible but if i have to i will.

so the question is what is the largest wheel and tire i can fit?17x?? what would be the best offset? and what tire should go on these?

please ask anything that would help. im sure there is something i forgot. thank you.

offset depends on the width of the rim too. A 17x9 with a +15 off set is going to stick out more than a 17x8 with a +15 off set. as far as width goes, I wouldn't run anything less than 9. I also wouldn't put no larger than 18's on a 240 but 17's are most common. you wont have to roll your finders unless you are lowered. over all I would go with a 17x9 with an offset somewheres in the teens or lower, or you can go with a 0 offset and get stretched tires. but thats just me.

that would be my recommendation, that and a set of 235/40/17's.

But you'll need to roll your fenders.
