I have an S13 hatch and I have a set of 15X8's with + 15 offset. What size tire can I run if I want to stretch it and still be safe to drive?

If you want a stretch id go 195/50 or 55/15. Won't give you much or a stretch but it will be.

First question: What do you hope to achieve by installing stretched tires? There is no performance increase by running a stretched tire, due to the fact that there is a smaller contact patch betweeen the tire and the road surface. Maybe your goal is to eliminate the need for any type of fender adjustment, or you just like the stretched 'look'. Second, why purchase 15" diameter wheels for an s14? In my opinion, when purchasing new wheels, 15" is too small for the s14 chassis. The offset listed seems ok, but again, why 15" diameter? An 8" wheel width is approximately 205mm. So, depending on the section width of the tire manufacturer, you would want to maximize the wheel width for a flush, or slightly stretched look (if that is what you are looking for). Stock SE wheels are 6.5" wide and tires are sized as 205/55/16. For example, a 215/55/15 tire basically matches the revs/mile for the stock 195/60/15 tire. Check out a tire size calculator such as this:

Tire Size Calculator or the Wheel and Tire Section as already suggested.

Good luck

I'd go with 195, personally.

Seriously, a 195 on an s14? How would that be an upgrade? I just want to understand the whole stretched trend.

215/55/16 is way bigger then 195/60/15's. 205/50/16 is .1in smaller then 195/60/15!

Right now I have 205/55/16s on my sportmax 501s which are 16x8 +15. They are a little streched. I usually run 205/50s in the summer.

If I were you and wanted decent amount of strech and size Id get a 16in 501 like mine and 205/40's. My friend has 002's on his miata and with 205/40s and its pretty streched. The lower profile you go with 195s and 205s on an 8 the more streched it is.

If you really want strech get a 15 or 16x9. Thats what I plan on buying for my next set of wheels for my daily s13. But thats a long way off.

True... But, I said 215/55/15 is basically equal to 195/60/15 (.7" diameter difference). And yes, you are correct, 205/50/16 would match the stock tire size better.

EDIT: I missed the part where the OP said he had a s13 hatch Sorry, I have been up since 4:30am.
