Well I just won a set of M45 wheels for an unbelievable price... Brand new factory nissan.. So i'll be selling my 350Z rays wheels and pocket the cash for a great set of tires for these wheels.

They are 18x7.5 ET40, so they should fit nicely on the Q.

Id like to run a 245-45-18 all around..... I think 255-40 would be a bit wide to run on a 7.5 in wheel, plus I think it might hit the suspension. I think that 245-40 might be a better size, but most ar eonly 93 load rated, id like to run at least 95 which is the factory standard.. plus haivng the extra sidewall of a 45 series tire vs a 40 series tire might be nice for ride concerns.

I read Chet's super duper tire FAQ, and im kinda tossed between a few tires..

Heres my criteria

1. id like them to last around 15-20k (which is about 1.5 summers), frequently rotating and keeping drifting and burnouts to a minimum2. Max performance tire, emphasizing dry grip... Wet grip is good, but not as much of a factor... When it rains, i often dont drive real hard and tend to take it easier.. Ive finally got my suspension to the point where a good set of tires will make this thing handle simply amazing. 3. Costs under $250/tire4. Should be fairly quiet.. They dont need to be silent, just not howling.. Preferably a little quieter than my nitto 555s that I was running..5. Theyll need to take a beating, because i am going to try and do some auto-X and so on...

Thanks in advance!

first of all, whats the stock size on those tires, width in particular

ive never heard of a 245 or a 255 on a 7.5 wheel, but i also dont work at a tire shop or anything

anyway my guess would be run a 225/50/18, in this size you can get the bridgestone potenza re050a, should last 15-20 depending on how you treat it (hopefully) and nice max performance

thatd be 185 a tire

if you do get a 245/45, you can get good year eagle f1 gs-d3, top in its class with a ton of miles in tire rack survey, like 215 a tire

Yeah I was looking at the eagles, but ive heard that they have a bit of tread squirm...

Stock size is 235-45-18, but Z (szhosian) is running 245-45-18 eagles on his.....

the eagles seem like a good choice, and hard to go wrong, but i wanted to get some others opinions...

Jerry... hit me up on AIM.

PS2, if yo can get them in front and rear sizes. Absolutely PWNZ all other max performance tires right now (except the AD07, which wears far worse).

GS-D3 is a nice tire, but tread squir and weird on-center feel don't do it for me. SUperbly nice dr and wet grip though.

The Bridgestone RE050 is also a very nice summer tire.

Thanks Chet...

What do you think about the falken azenis RT-615...?

Im leaning toward the GS-D3s, mainly because they are a great tire for grips sake, and likely i wouldnt really notice the tread squirm.....

However if i can get the RE050A for a decent price, ill consider going with that.
