Ok please explain how its done.

I know it increases the side wall rigidity, and decreases roll while drifting.but can it be done at home? whats the best way to execute.

I just found this video, watch this first

all it is, is a tire with a section width less than what is recomended for the wheel width, ex. 9 inch wheel 215-225 width tire

its not a mod so much as a compromise due to camber, aggressive offset and width. although i think i looks awesome when done well with good wheels.

i think that video is just showing another method to seat the beads when mounting a stretched tire on a much wider wheel (7inch wide tire on a 9 inch wheel)

sorry if thats not at all what you meant

I did know the basics, but thank you.

Im wondering if anyone here has done it, and can it be done at home.

stupid question - what are the beads?

the beads are a steel cord encased in rubber on the inside and outside of the tire where it touches the wheel.if you break a bead the tire either wont inflate or will blow up because there is nothing keeping the rubber from stretching over the bead seat on the wheel.

i have done this many times (working at a repair shop) and it can be done at home as long as you know how to mount and dismount a tire properly without a machine(unless you have one) and all you really have to do to get it to seat if its REALLY stretched is have a ratchet strap or a bicycle tube like in the vedio then you just air up the tire(after lubing the bead)

that vid is retarded, that was hardly a stretch at all and using the bike tube made it look insanely harder than it should have been.
