I am getting some tires, and the stock size is 205/55 16, But I am wondering if you could go wider, such as 215/55 16. That will be a good size. will that fit on stock 240sx SE 1995 rims. Does anyone have this size?? Thanks

Ok, I figured out that they will fit. I want some khumo wcsta Supra 712's in a 215/55 16 size. But what is the best price I can get them for? This store can sell me them for $430. I want to pay around $380 for them. Is there any one here that got a good deal on these tires, or anything? Anything that can give me some info will be great. Thanks

OK OK, never mind. I figured everything out. Check out thedeal I got. I got Khumo Ecsta Supra 712's in a size of 215/50 16. A wider tire with lower profile. The guy was tring to give me them for $480!!! Thats rediculous. So I talked to another guy that was tight, and he gave me the same tires for $375. That is with tax included, installation, balancing, all 4 tires, and the works. Now tell me if that is a good deal. I did not want size 205/55 16 because that is the stock size. I am getting a wider size for better handling. So $375, whew, a lot of hassle, but thats the deal I am getting. Tell me how it is. Thanks, PEACE

i know you already got it taken care of, but getting taller tires really doesn't make much of a difference except in fender clearance for lowered cars. they will weigh a little more and have more flex in sidewalls, but look good when combine with stock height fronts. you get more of an old muscle car stance. you speedo and odo won't actually vary that much, i've got rear tires that are 1" taller than stock, and if i had them all around my speedo would read 77 when i was really going 80. hurts more if you speed, since you're going faster than it says. your odo will show less miles if you ever decide to sell.damn, four tires for less than 400? it's hard to find tires for less than 150 a piece in my size.

Has anybody tried 225/50/16? I was plannign to get this size for my konig monsoons. The rims are 16x7in i believe. Thanks. A tire size calculator on a website said those would be pretty close to stock, regarding overall wheel diameter. Does anybody have pics of their car with this tire size? Thanks

215-55-16 will be too tall, 225-50-16 is the same O.D. as a 205-55-16. dont run a 215-50-16, thats too short.-chet

here are some pics the picture when the rims were all silver the tires size was 205/40r16 that was way to small, but can't complain when buying a car with a blown motor for $700.00 anyways the pic. where my rims are black the tires are 225/50r16. i was going to get 215/55r16 but i wanted wideness than tallness even though not much of a difference between the two.i hope this helps you out if you didnt already buy the tires you wanted..
