I recently bought rims (17x7) for my 240...

Now I know these 3 sizes are the recommended ones by a few sites and price shopping I've done around here...

205/45-17215/40-17215/45-17 (Went to NTB, and Bridgestone stores..they recommend these)

Does anyone know If I can use 205/40-17 on them too??...I don't know if they just are not recommended, or if they won't fit correctly.

I only asked about those 3 when I went to those 2 places. I found the 205/40-17 tires online. They are a lot cheaper than the 205/45-17 (which are around 300..while the 205/40-17 are around 250 for 4. Other 2 are pretty much in between those 2.

I can't find it anywhere if those fit...I tried googling it, and everything...

205/40 are ultra low profile tires, so the tires end up being really small. This is not the way you want to go. It will lead to much wheel scrapeage and awful ride.

Go with the 215/45s

The 205/45s will give you that stretched look and 205/40s are too small of a diameter which will make it look like you are on run flats or something plus it will make the ride quality kind of crappy.
