Hi

I am getting a second hand bridgestone blizzak tire set for 450 CAD with alloy rims. It is from a Dodge.

But the tire size is 235/65/R17. I drive a 2015 Nissan Rogue SL and the recommended size for winter is 225/65/R17, though I use R18 in summer.

Question is if it would cause any issue using a 235 vs 225?

The rims are 5x114.3 but people also mention about offset, which i am not sure if I should be worried about.

Any clarification would be highly appreciated.

Thanks
Vinodh

235 vs 235 will not be a huge issue, most tire companies will use the same tire size and stamp 235 or 225 on.

The bigger issue will be the offset (how much the wheel/tire sticks in or out of the wheel-well) and the hub bore diameter of the wheel. Nissan usually has a 66.1mm hub size; Just be sure the wheels from the Dodge have a larger hub dia of 66.1mm. Ask the seller if you can test fit one of the front tires to confirm fittment.

I actually thought about getting 235 /65/17 on my first generation.

But it would probably make the 16mpg I'm getting now even worse.

So I probably get 225/65/17.

I want beefy all terrain tires myself.

Make sure you get hubcentric rings to match those wheels.

If you really want to make sure those tires fit for sure.

You're in luck, because a 2 inch lift kit is available for the second generation.

Which will allow up to 245/65/17 tires. :naughty:

Greetings. Try the attached file for pertinent tire dimensions:

Ignore the highlighted cells. We have a Rogue and a Quest and I use the file to help when buying tires.
