I was wondering if anyone knows how wide of a tire you can put on an 06 Z without haveing to re-set the speedometer or anything else. What is the widest tire you can go without it having an effect on anything else?

I dont think you need to worry about the speedometer getting thrown off with a wider tire, however if your getting a larger circumference tire thats when u need adjust the speedo.

someone correct me if im wrong, ive never heard of the width throwing off the speedometer.

The width will not throw the speedometer off but the diameter of the tire will. Not enough because there are not many variations of tire profiles you can go with. This link will tel you all the basics, you can start there. I belive the diameter of the 350 z tire is 26.9 inches. So what ever size wheel you go with simply get the profile tire that fits closest to that numbers diameter. http://www.350z-tech.com/zwiki...tions

O ok that makes more sence . Would it affect anything then if i upgraded to a 19 inch wheel? Is an inch enough to mess up the speedometer or anything else? Also what is the widest tire you can put on a Z without it looking rediculous, i want a wider tire but i want to make sure that its not so wide that it goes way over the fender or anything else that would look cheep. I was thinking of upgrading to something like a 245 in the front and 265 ish in the rear maybe even bigger if i can. Will that pose any problems?

I have a 265/35/19 in the rear and it is flush with the side and I believe the wheel is 30mm offset.
