Jack - Welcome to NICO!

Glad to have you aboard. Do a search for "tires" or "tire size" and you'll get more useful technical info than you can possibly digest.

General consensus here (i.e. REQUIREMENT) is to stay at or above the factory load rating which puts you between 235 and 255/50/16. 245/50 maintains roughly the factory diameter so your speedo stays the same and is a common size among Q enthusiasts.

Some 225/55/16 [over 40 brands to chose from] and some 235/60/16 [many many few choices] [accepting the speedo error.....<4%] are also usable as long as the max load rating is 1520 pounds or above. The 235/60/16 [Michelin MXV4 plus] was used on big BMW/MB so there are tires designed to work with Q weight and corner loads/stress.
