I need tire size recommendations for the wheel sizes stated in the title. The wheels are going on a '96 240 SE with Eibach Sportlines and KYB GR-2 struts. Splash guards are removed and fenders have been rolled.

Thanks!

Well upfront you don't need to go uber wide 225 fits an 8 perfect no stretch or bulge a 245 would be nice also. And in the back the 265 would be the same. He could go wider and bulge and lose surface contact or stretch with something like a 225-245 and have best contact but more room for lip damage.

Thanks, man. I figured this thread would get moved to the wheel/tire forum aka land of no views or replies.

225 front and a 265 rear will be both WAY too tall in the back and create massive understeer...unlesss you have a ton of power to need the extra OD (higher gearing) and resistance to loading it provides...

GO with a 225/40/18 and 245/35 if you can - or if you can manage it run a 225/40 and a 235/40 rear and enjoy a more balanced setup...
