tire size question?

Will a P235/55-17 tire fit a 2009 FWD with no rubbing or other problems? I know the speedo will be off by about 1.5% depending on the particular tire selected. I ask because the selection of tires with a H speed rating in stock size is limited to tires in which I have no interest. Thanks.

The extra 10mm in section width vs. the stock SL tires should not pose any issues with rubbing. There is lots of clearance around the strut and frame.

Ahhh I am looking at that size too. If I end up replacing tires before upgrading to 19" wheels I want to buy a set of Continental DWS tires. They don't come in 225/60-17 but do come in 235/55-17, 235/50-18 and 245/45-19. Check them out, they are amazing 4 season tires and depending on your climate you may be a able to run them year round like in the Pacific Northwest.
