The stock tires on my G are 215/55/17

I'm looking for something bit more aggressive and sporty for the next tire I get. If I get something like 225/45/17 there is 5.1% difference in the diameter according to http://www.1010tires.com/TireS...ubmit

They say that you should try to keep it below 3% because of the ABS ( and traction control).

Other than the obvious speedometer reading difference, what other change can I expect?

I'm just wondering what tire sizes other people have.

Also... What's the widest tire that I can install on my Stock 17x7 wheels ?

I own a 2005 G35 Sedan and changed my stock tires to 225/45/17 and have no problem with them. Even with a trip to San Diego there were no issues.

I hope this helps.

I just put 235/45/17's on my 2007 G and LOVE them. Tire shop said they could fit a 245/45/17 but I didn't want too much tire.

You don't want to overtire the car. An ideal tire size will spin once or twice under full throttle from a start. No spin = too much tire, excessive spin = no enough tire.
