I have a set of 17x8 and 17x9 rims I will be using oin an S13 240sx. What would be the best size tires to use to keep the same diameter as stock?

Won't size give the side wall too much angle and pull it back? I was thinking 235/40/17 for front, bigger for rear. Have you run this size? Will it expose the rim lip, I don't want the side walls pulled back too much.

On 17x8 and 17x9 a 225/245 will sit about flush and not expose the lip if that is what you are looking for... Thats what I run.

And that size would give me same overall diameter as stock? I'll check that out. I was partly hoping for the 235 in front cuz I have a pair, but I'd rather go with what works best.

yeah itll work diameter wise

if you want to use up a pair of 235s you could run those on the rear with 215s on the front for one set, then on the next set you buy you could switch to a 225/245

I'll check thru the tires to see what I have, I have like 7 or 8 different 17" tires, thet'd me cool if I could get some life out of them first.

I use 225/45 all around w/ the same set-up...If you wanna be cheap, just use the tires you have laying around. Most people try too match the stock size so that there speedo is correct.
