You totally misunderstood me. I didn't mean the OD in relation to the speedo, just in the relation to fitment. (ground to fender). I also didn't mean the expected diameter of the wheel (not sure where you got that) I meant the overall diameter Tire to Tire with rim in the middle. I got my measurements off of Nitto website. Those numbers included wheel size. Sorry for the confusing sentences.

I don't care if the S14 tires are a little bigger overall, that doesn't change the maximum capacity of the wheel well (ground to fender). I am curious if I can fit a 25.55" OD (tire to tire with rim in middle) on my S14. I have overfenders 30mm in rear and 20mm in front (only going to run a 245 in front). So will these Nitto's fit?
The distance from the ground to the fender is entirely dependent on your ride height. You could run monster truck tires if you were high enough. However, why not just run properly sized tires? Then your speedo will be functional and you can go lower without rubbing issues.

because 600whp to the ground is a hard feat with 225's. I don't need the speedo, not a street car, well not driven on the street enough to care.

I wouldn't consider 225s a proper width for a 9.5 in rim, something along 255 to 275 would be ideal in my book. But if you don't care about the speedo and the decreased clearance, than the tires you mentioned will work. I would still try and get some 275s in the rear with a shorter sidewall, just so you have that extra clearance for suspension compression since your car will be tracked.

i just got eight tires for free.

two 225/40s

four 235/40s

two 245/35s

and yeah, a 225 seems small for a 9.5, but with the offset and width of my wheels, its a good size for tucking behind stock fenders/quarters after a roll/slight pull.

a 235 40 would be a good bit bigger (height) over a 225/40.

but these 245/35's look pretty nice.

cant install the tires and wheels until i get my five lug stuff done.

im now accepting donations payable through paypal to [email protected].
