I am gonna be upgrading my stock wheels & tires to 18"x8 225/45-18

I don't plan on dropping my sedan due to crappy roads in my area and also in the winter I will be putting the stocks back on.

This is my question. Will 225/45-18 tires look ok on 18"x8 without lowering or should I go with a different size tire?

I searched this site and see examples but it doesn't say on most photo's if they car been lowered.

Thanks.

yep that should be fine.... im running 245/40/19... the 45's are fine for 18's because if you go 40 the profile is too low and the wheel gap looks more pronounced... that size tire will provide a clean look with no rubbing.

Good luck with it... Mine is almost at 50k miles and never had a problem. Looked into actually trading it for a g37 sedan or 335i but it has everything i need. It's roomy, comfy, big trunk and reliable... You'll have fun with it, welcome to the forums also.

cause I be on a budget. I did the math.

18" replica=affordable
-or-
19" real thing=me living in box+no gas

they're nice. My cousin has them on his 2002 Acura TL. I understand the point of being on the budget. In this economy save as much as you could.

I'm thinking about putting my picture on a coffee can and leaving it in the local gas station for donations:
"Please help this young man save for this wheels & stereo"

:) LOL

I think they will look great on my dark slate sedan

are you going new or used? if you get used you'll save a ton and can probably afford the real thing. i thought forged rims were out of my budget range but found a set of g35 forged rays for $650 on craigslist w/ tires. i've since bought new tires which i'm about to put on soon, but i also got those for a killer deal, $300 for a set of 4 19" kumho ecsta spt's. used is the way to go
