Tire size for 18" wheels
What is the standard size for 18"wheels??? 215/35/18 or 215/40/18... I find it hard to get the 215/40/18 for them... what do you guys have on your rims???
What rim width are you using? Reason i ask is i got 16x7.5 and have 225 width tires. I would hope 18" wheels are at least as wide, so you may want to consider some more traction and look at 225, 235 or even 245. One you determine that, sidewall ratio will have to be figured out to get the correct overall diameter. Tell me what your OE wheel size and tire size is and what your new wheel size is and i can find u a tire to match OE dimensions so you dont have to recalibrate your speedo.

No, I didn't have to recalibrate anything. Stock tires sizes s13( 205/60/15) and s14 SE (205/55/16) are between 24.69-24.88 inches in overall diameter. My 225/40/18 are 25.09 inches in diameter. With that small of a difference, overall speed wouldn't differ any more than 1%.
