To those who have this tire size; do you notice an increase in height with this size?

well i know the 70 stands for the height of the sidewall, stock size is 65 so yeah you probably will notice that its taller

The 65 in 255/65R16 or the 70 in 255/70R16 is the aspect ratio. It is a percentage of the first number which is the width of the tire in millimeters from sidewall to sidewall. The aspect ration gives you the height from where the rim meets the bead to the top of the tire.

The difference between the 255/65R16 and the 255/70R16 is 2.55cm or about an inch taller.

I know this is an older thread, but i'm gonna throw my 2 cents in. I searched around for the answer to this awhile ago and found that without a lift kit, the largest tire you can go with on a 00+ pathy is probably 265/70r16 . I've heard some guys have gone with a 255/75r16 as well. 255/75 will give you about 5mm of extra height over the 265/70 and 25mm over the stock size, and of course, take up an extra 5mm of space inside the wheel well. The 265/70 will give you a wider tire and about 20mm of extra height. Doesn't sound much but it makes a difference.

I just recently put some bridgestone dueler Revos on my 01 pathy, size 265/70r16 and was amazed how much difference it was. A very noticeable increase in height looking at it, and riding around on them. But looking at the space it takes up in the wheel well, i would not go larger, cuz there isn't much more room and there would be a chance of rubbing. I have no rubbing at all with the 265/70s.

on a side note, i guess you could also go for a wide tire, like a 275 /60 to give u a wider tire with the same stock height.. but again, potential rubbing. And of course, to get the extra height, increase to a 275/65 or 70. which is pushing it.

I had the Revo Deulers with the 1/2" old man emu lift kit. the ride was phenomenal.. unfortunately the torque converter blew yesterday.
