I've got some time to think about this before the wheels come from volk. The spec on the wheels are 18x10 +27 (A face) and 18x11 +25 (B face). Whether or not they rub is besides the point because I'm prepared to roll the fenders if needed. My question is about tire width and profile opinions. I'm planning a going 295/35 for the rear and 265/40 for the front. I though about 275/35 for the front but the tire would be getting a little thin, compared to the rear at least. Not to mention I try to lean more towards over size than under to get the most tire on the wheel as possible. What do you guys think? 265/40 or 275/35 for the front to pair up with the 295/35 rear? Thanks

The front tire should be smaller than the rear. If you have VDC it's a necessity. So forget abotu the 265/40/18. 275/35/18 is what you need.

Furthermore if your car is lowered your going to rub front and back with those size wheels, offsets and tire sizes no matter what you do with the fender lip.

Why did you go with those sizes?

Well to absolutely honest I was going to order after the new year so I don't have them on order yet. I planning on doing some pretty serious stuff with a twin turbo in the near future and wanted the best of show and go with the wheels. I love the lip on the Volk GTS, I had a 19x8.5 set on my Altima Coupe. All and all, I was mirroring this guys setup…

Yes, I know it's a different Z site but a lot of Google searching takes you to a lot of different places. Basically, he's running a slightly thinner profile but the fenders haven't been touched. Thought it looks good as far as the fender on the stock Z why not try it and do some body modifications when lowering the car comes up. I know you've given some great advice on these forums Jetpilot so I value your input, can you advise me a little further on your experiences knowing these won't fit no matter the amount of rolling? To my understanding guys are pushing the Volk RE30 with a +22 offset without rubbing on the 10.5" and I believe I've seen some +18's rolled. Thanks

What "fits" isn't always what fits. Some of these higher offset wheels guys are running -2 to -3 degrees of camber in the rears. To me that doesn't mean it fits. In order to run those ageressive offsets you also have to run stretched tires.

If you want a perfect setup look at what I have. I have a full range of camber adjsutemnt in the rear. I run r-compound Proxes R888 tires which have increadible grip, and I am dropped very low.

If your looking for traction with a high powered twin turbosetup then your going to have to run the Proxes r888 or similar to get traction. No summer tire will come close.

Copy someone who made all the mistakes already and finally got it right.

The Information is much appreciated. I had already planned to run an R compound when the time comes to boost. Only thing is I probably won't have the funds this upcoming season overhaul the block, although I could do a bolt on I'm not sure I want too. I might do a simple KDW2 or maybe even a Falken 615 for now.

So what's your thoughts on the stretched tires? I've read from my searches guys running 18x11 setups (other wheels) with 275's across the wheel with OEM chamber specs, at least they claim too. My main reason to for going after this setup is basically the cosmetic lip and the option for future body mods to fit a crazy tire. It seems like you're much more practical than me, I can almost here you say "than why do it". I was never much for polished lips but after I had a set on my altima coupe, they grew on me so much.
