I'm looking to get new tires now that my kumhos that the car came with are just about bald. I'd like something that would be decent for autox and daily driving. I don't really know anything about tires but would like a little bit more grip than what the kuhmo ecsta's gave me. I know this is a lot to ask for quality for autox and dd that last long for a cheap price but what's the best tire that fits all or most of those categories.

My wheels are 10.5/18 rear and 9.5/18 front with 225's up front and 265's in the rear.

Thanks in advance

Well, those are pretty stretched, so personally, I would go with whatver is cheap. Look around for some decently priced used Michelins, Goodyears, Falkens, etc.. Ride quality is pretty much out the window with sizes like that on those wheels.

Also, anything that stretched is not going to do well in autox. You're better off picking up a set of stock wheels and getting decent tires for those. You'd be in the completely wrong car class anyways as your wheels are so wide.

Again, I would just get some decent new car take-offs or something. You can easily find good brands, gently used on craigslist.

I stand by Nitto, I run 555's rear and invo fronts. The invo's are a really good tire, I would run it in the rear but they don't make my size. Autocross, yeah a nice square tire is what you want, good tires fore sure.

I would run the stock wheels with better tires but they won't clear my coils :/

I also plan on running slightly wider tires and and ditching the stretched look. Only reason I like it now is because I don't have rucas and my wheels are perfectly tucked.

Also to they guy with the s13.5 that's for sale (sorry on my phone and forgot your name). You wouldn't happen to be interested in a g35 would you?

No, I would not. But for a S14 you can run a 17/8x9 all day with a nice 255 for a nice square fit.
