I am looking to get new tires for the vert. I am not interested in changing tire/wheel size. Can anyone offer suggestions of tires with the following qualities, with most important first.

RideTractionRoad noise

So far I am leaning towards Bridgestone Potenza's G 009

If what I get works out, I will also be putting them on wifes Altima. It currently has almost new Summitomos (something like that) but they are useless in wet weather!

RJ, those links are places to buy tires, but I did not see where they recommended 1 over another, or did any kind of comparison. I can find lots of places to buy, I am more looking for advice/suggestions on what to buy with the characteristics that I listed. I do appreciate your efforts though!

I've been happy with my Yokohama AVID H4S. I got the 205/60 15" and they are fantastic. Consumer Reports also rates them well.

Not great for ice and snow fun perfect for touring.

Here is a comparison chart that has me liking the Bridgestone Protenza G 009. Not all tires are represented though.

Ok I am an Yokohama fan and used them on Track/Street until two years ago.Ran the same Yokohama AVID H4S only in 215/60 15 for over a year and they were great tires. Never had and issue and were great in the wet.Changed to Goodyear F1 Ultra All Season when I bought my new rims. Running 225/50 R16, took her up to 85 in a down pure and they held like I was on rails. Even though and inch wider and lower profile they are far better then the AVID H4S and at twice the coast they better!! Paid $75 per Yokohama and $150 Per Goodyear. Already had one blow out..... Never lost a Yoko...

Here is one review of the Goodyearshttp://www.sportcompactcarweb.....html

Just a heads up, stay away from Yokohama YK520s. I would be skeptical of the reviews posted on Discount Tire.

I got them for my vert a few months ago. I admit, it was a hasty decision done without any proper research. The only thought in my head was I just needed to replace my old tires ASAP.

My personal review:Ride: I'd say it's average. It's not harsh but it's not really smooth either. It's a bit better than before...not by much though.

Traction: If you want a road hugger, look elsewhere. You won't be getting a lot of grip from these hard tires.

Road noise: Noise is slightly louder than before. It's more noticeable on the highway. They also squeal sometimes at low speeds during turns.
