Hello,

I have done a lot of searching, reading and researching on various tire options for my car, but I still need a little help. I have narrowed down tire selection to these two:

1. Yokohama Avid V42. Kumho Exsta ASX

I think that I am going to go with 205/55 R15 for my size choice as I want to slightly widen the track but keep the overall diameter the same. My reasoning for these tires is that in all honesty, I don't hit the track but one or two times a year and the rest of my daily driving is highway and a few spirited canyon jaunts.

I live in Colorado so I need a tire that has good all weather traction but is still fun to drive on. Oh, I own an S13 with upgraded everything suspension/chassis wise.

Thank you very much in advance for suggestions or input!

I think the Kumho is a better tire for you from looking at the specs and tread design. It has a nice evacuation profile for wet traction, while maintaining a large shoulder block design with less void area, which leads to less tread squirm (greater response).

once again, i shall make a stick up for the falcon ziex 512. my dad runs em on his integra and they are beautiful. 30,000 mileage warranty, are directional, and at http://www.edgeracing.com they can be had for under 50 a tire. traction and temperature rating of A so can you really match that? hope this helps.

The Kumho was my favorite in our test drives here. Great wet traction, dry handling, and road noise level. The Yokohama would be longer wearing but not as fun for a daily driver.

No offense, I have these tires... and they are what I like to call "baldy no grips". Absolutely horrible in the wet, and they have moderate at best dry traction.

really, ive never really had a problem in the wet with these down here in fl. the dry traction isnt bad but then again i guess they arent spectacular. it really boils down to use and what the wallet has.
