Don't forget to put the lug nuts back on.

just did a couple of weeks ago.

fronts to the back and back wheels to the front. no need to criss-cross according to the manual.

used a floor jack, before jacking up one side set the parking brake, loosened up the lugnuts BEFORE jacking up the car, and then jacked up one side and then the next. not a bad idea to retighten after a short trip. i have a torque wrench (spec is in the manual) but not a socket that fits the lugnuts so i just tightend them till they were tight, but did not overtighten.

i didn't use jack stands but you should if you have them.

really very easy. 15 minutes to do all of them. also took the chance to give the wheels a good cleaning/scrubbing...

Specified wheel nut tightening spec is 83 ft-lb (113 N-m) as shown on page 8-38 in the 2007 Versa Owners Manual.

I just did my second rotation. I do one side at a time. Loosen the bolts first, I then use a floor jack on the front and the car jack at the rear. As others have said, front to back and the back to the front. I also get a little anal and clean the wheels really good (front and back side) and look at things in the tread. I found a small screw in one and a small nail in the another. Pulled both out and checked with soapy water to make sure no leaks. It is a good possibility that if left in, as the tread wore down that the screw or nail would have eventually been pushed through, resulting in a leak. I pick out any large rocks.

Tighten the bolts firmly before lowering (approx 40 - 50 ft-lbs) in a star pattern ( as well as that can be done with only four lug nuts). Lower the car, then tighten with the torque wrench in a star pattern.

Doing this yourself and you will know that the wheels were properly torqued, avoiding the dreaded brake rotor warping that can occur when the tire jocks crank the wheels on so tight it is darn near impossible to get off. ( a very common problem IMHO).

I use a floor jack at the rear jack point & lift the front & rear at the same time. Amazing how light this car is. I have directional tires, so just front to back for me.

Very easy 5-10 minutes.
