flame on if u must but my question is ginuine and i really have no car expertise prior the altima so bear with me...now onto the question..

tire rotation means what basically it says right? meaning all 4 tires rotate position to balance the wear of the threads..see i just recently put on 19" g35 rays wheels on my altima coupe (following blancs3030's path.thx btw)and i transfered the tpms.everything is good so far but i read somewhere that the tpms is tire and location specific..so if you rotate the tires, wont that mess up the reading? or has to be relearn? also, would my dealership rotate my tires even though they're not stocks? thx for those who wants to help..i have been an avid fan of this site but due to lack of mods, i dont post much...but read this forum everyday like a ritual thing hehe..

No one is going to flame you - we're here to help!

Tire rotation is exactly as you said it is - you move the wheels from one position on your car to another in order to promote even wearing of the tread on your tires.

Your TPMS system is not location specific, nor is it tire specific. As long as you have the same sensors on your new wheels that are programmed to your car's TPMS system, you will have no problems. The sensors don't know what wheel position they are located at - they only know if they are in the range of the car's TPMS sensor and whether or not the pressure in the tires are low.

Your dealership should rotate your tires with no quarrel. You can rotate your own tires as well if you have the hardware (2 jacks is all you really need), or you can take it to any auto repair type place (midas, jiffy lube, etc). It doesn't cost that much to have them rotated.

hey thanks for the quick response! got everything cleared up...as far as pics..eehh.. the thing is, i had to opt for 245/35/19s because 40s are super expensive for me right now..a set plus installation would cost more that what i pay for the wheels...so basically what im trying to say is that i have a wheel gap and kinda hoping to post pics after i drop it..thx again tho

Beleive it or not, I don't think this has been asked before... however, I would say that this post belongs in the Tires/suspension forum!

Also, you live in California, so I'm assuming you take advantage of our awesome weather and you have Ultra Hggh performance Summer Tires on your car Year round! If so, then Ultra High Performance tires are directional, meaning the tread pattern goes in a specific direction. If you look at your tires, you'll see that they sort of create a triangle pointing forward!

If you have this type of setup, then instead of rotating your tires one of the normal cross pattern ways, you can only rotate your tires rear to front and front to rear. If you have staggered tires, then its a bit more complicated... please read this for a full explanation on tire rotation!
