So anyway I was stopping by Wally-mart to get some odds and ends and I know that tire rotation is only 1.50 per tire plus I figured why not change the oil too...ok oil change no prob again used whatever synth was on special..but they are not allowed to rotate the tires???? They said 2008+ Nissan and Toyotas they will not rotate because of TPMS...WTF? I said they are all the same wheel and tire just rotate 'em and fill to 33psi...but he said I would but we are not alowed too? Why not? the reason i am pissed is because 6 bucks for a tire rotation is worth well more than my time....so anyway, I still changed the oil (albeit 1500 miles early ( i use 5K for synth oil chnages)...

I'll bet I get a comment about wal-mart before an answer on tire rotation....but anyway since they didn;t do it...I plan on next nice weekend for the official 'spring clean' of the car to just clean 'em up real good while they are off since I imagine I will rotate in my driveway now....I have at least a 12 pack worth of outside work to do anyway..lol

Thats interesting but I can see why they don't.

Lady goes to Walmart, gets her tires rotated and the light comes on down the road. She'll call Walmart first because they were the ones that last touched it. Walmart says go to your dealer....

I guess it saves a hassle for them by not being accountable for the light coming up.

Just my thoughts.

Just had my tires rotated after my spring installation. Front to back no tpms lights.

Sounds like b/s, just hit firestone and I'm sure they will take care of you! (although Tyler made a good point)

Glad to hear that ... was wondering about front to back rotation.

***Anyone have any success in getting two sets of sensors to work with one car? ***

Was thinking of getting another set of winter rims & having the second set of sensors activated to my car ... wondering if the original set would still work when I put them back on in the summer.

I also agree with Tyler. Wal-mart always tries to avoid any risky situations which may result in reimbursement or lawsuits. I see their point, they don't specialize in auto work, just run-of-the mill oil changes, etc... so they may not be familiar with TPMS yet, and probably will change their policy a few months or years down the road.

i was actually at walmart yesterday to get my 06 chevy equinox serviced too. and i wanted the tire rotation cause like you said at 1.50 per tire its a steal! well the guy came in and told me that the tires were 5/32 all the way around so would i still want them rotated since they were all the same anyways. i was like ummm yeah you still need to rotate to wear them all the same still! i dont think i will ever go back there though cause this is the second time they put their big ole greasy hands all over my doors ...eww gross!

I think going to walmart for an oil change is a bigger concern here....

Had mine rotated also. The A/C doesn't have a tire specific TPMS, therefore, you can rotate them anywhere you want and not get a light

I can't believe anyone would trust their car to a Wally World tire center. I had mine roatated and baclanced at Discount Tire, no problme at all with lights and i got it done free since i got one tire replaced there!!

The TPMS can be rotated, but the problem looks like if the car runs or the TPMS light is on for a long period of time it needs to be reset.
