I know the manual states front to back rotation only, however the factory stock Michelins are not directional. So, the question is, is adverse wear on pass side suggests to swap over, not enought tread depth left to do an alignment, what would this hurt?

Has anyone here swapped side to side yet with the stock Michelins?

My Michelin Pilots (stock) clearly have a directional arrow on them...you might want to double check on the sidewall itself, unless for some reason, your car had the Michelin's swapped with a non-directional Michelin tire.

1. If the tire has a rotation directional arrow on them, you should not swap them side-to-side, although it will not hurt you per se.

2. If you tread is at 4/32 or lower, then replace the tires regardless! See my link here (do a search) for what happens in wet weather with low tread depth - even if above the 2/32 legal limit!
