I got new tires at 65,000 miles on my Versa and the originals still had tread left on them. Never locked up on me, slipped or skidded. Of course, it probably has to do with the way I drive, avoiding fast starts and sudden stops, but I was happy with the tires, considering what folks on here were saying about them.DejaWiz wrote:When I got my Versa, I couldn't wait to get rid of the factory Conti's. Same brand/model came on my wife's '05 Altima and we didn't get but around 25,000 miles out of them.
Wish we could have gotten mileage like that out of them. Our Altima is a 2.5 so it's no speed demon, and we certainly don't drive hard. Hmmmm, maybe we just got a bad run of Conti's? Dunno, but I have read that others have had bad luck with these oem Conti's, as well.kc5f wrote:I got new tires at 65,000 miles on my Versa and the originals still had tread left on them. how do you define tread left? If you were at the wear bars or beyond, that is too little tread left to be safe; especially in a heavy rain. I can see running mine to 25,000 maybe 30,000 but 65,000 seems well beyond what could be considered safe.kc5f wrote:I got new tires at 65,000 miles on my Versa and the originals still had tread left on them.
