I got almost 40k on my M Pilots and switched to M PS2's and will get half that now. Even being able to flip left and right did not seem to extend any life. That's what you get for going soft. I heard that Pilots have an upgrade and wanted to know if anyone have good or bad reviews on the new Pilots? Also going to 45's upfront and 75's on the rear cause any rubbing or cuts if bottom out?

Thank you

Sorry your topic was overlooked and Thanks to SVT for pointing that out.

I do not know about Pilots personally so I hope someone else will chime in.

I do however know (assuming you have the Coupe) that going with 245's upfront and 275's in the rear will NOT cause any problems whatsoever.

I am also interested in everyone's opinion on tires. According to tirerack the Michelin Pilot HXMXM4 are not that great. The 94W tires are rated worse than the 94V tires. Maybe the 94V tires are the new ones?? I think the Yokohama Avids have better reviews.

I put Avids on my wife's 05 G Sedan and love them. They are wearing nicely too!!!

Also put Avids on my daughter's 00 Max. Same here, she loves them and put them to use in the snowy mountains of NC where she goes to college.

I've got Yoko S-Drive's on my 04 G Coupe and.....yes, love them.

No, I do not work for Yokohama. I should get a kick back or something!

According to the last review I saw, the Dunlp Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec out performed the PS2 or was equal to for alot less money.

I'm also a big fan of Yokos. I put Avid TRZs on my old Neon and they were miles better (get it ) than the OEM Goodyear Eagles.

I just ordered Yoko Advan S.4s for my G35x about 10 minutes ago. Based on the reviews at tirerack.com I'm expecting the same type of improvement over the OEM Goodyear Eagles.

You shouldn't have any rubbing issues, uif you've rolled your fenders, (front and rear). Im a tire technician at Costco, and I would recommend staying with the Pilot Sport A/S. The PS2's were designed specifically for Porche models . The treadwear, yeah it sucks, i think 240 or so? Also, with the A/S pilots, they are all season/all weather, so you wont slide asmuch in rain and snow instead of having summer tires like the PS2's

Hi:

Thanks for the advise.

I usually buy my tires at Discount. Not an eligible Costco member. I haven't done anything to the wheel wells. The car body is stock. I was leaning to the new Pilots beacuse of the 45k mile warranty.

Thanks

If nothing else get a Cosco membership and buy yourself a case of Mexican Coke.
