I have always had luck with this from Discount Tire, NTB (National Tire & Battery), or Sears.Who wants to deal with a defected tire through a mail service?? I want my problems resolved right then and there. Something to think about.
Oh, by the way, I guess you evaluated your tires being of more concern than your tree huh???

I totally agree. This is what I do. That way you get local service and a local warranty. Also, my local shop swaps out the summer wheels/tires for the winter wheels/tires every year for free since I bought them there. That alone saves me a bundle over the life of the car.
The local shop matches the "shipped" price however. So, if Tire Rack has the tires at $800 a set, the price match from the shop will be in the $850 range.
