They obviously have good prices, but how is customer service? Specifically on the road hazard coverage? Any experiences good or bad?

Better idea, price out the tire you want from Tire Rack, and go to your local tire shop and have them price match their prices! I have always had luck with this from Discount Tire, NTB (National Tire & Battery), or Sears.Who wants to deal with a defected tire through a mail service?? I want my problems resolved right then and there. Something to think about.

Oh, by the way, I guess you evaluated your tires being of more concern than your tree huh???

Not sure honestly, I want to price out the tires and the tree to see what I am looking at total. I was going to go with the more expensive tires based on recommendations, but I think I can get one of the less expensive like the Continental tires and hold off on the tree a little bit. I go back and forth by the hour

Why not pay someone to just trim up the bad branches on the tree?? Is the tree a complete loss? I would hate to lose a large tree like that on my property if it could still be saved.IMO.

I totally agree. This is what I do. That way you get local service and a local warranty. Also, my local shop swaps out the summer wheels/tires for the winter wheels/tires every year for free since I bought them there. That alone saves me a bundle over the life of the car.

The local shop matches the "shipped" price however. So, if Tire Rack has the tires at $800 a set, the price match from the shop will be in the $850 range.

I called a local place and they quoted me about $15 cheaper per tire once you figure in shipping and paying someone to mount them. Sounds like a deal to me. I am going with the continental extreme contact since a lot of people here seem to like them and they are reasonably priced. I was going to go for the michelin mack daddy tires, but life intervened.

I had the Continentals on my G and was very happy with them. You won't be disappointed.

Mave you looked at the Falken 452's? There are quite a few people here that have used and like the tire. Looks like a good tire to me. I am considering this tire when I need to replace my tires.

Infiniti of Tampa will match anybodys price, including Tire Rack.

See if your dearler will do the same.
