If you all are looking for tires, Tire Rack (http://www.tirerack.com) has an offer for a $70 prepaid Mastercard for buying four Michelin tires (some models).

FWIW, I still love the Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires (http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires.jsp ... uper+Sport) I put on the last time in a 245/45-18 size.

They are expensive (more than the other Michelin Pilot models), but the treadwear is turning out to be quite superior and the cost per mile could end up being actually lower in the final analysis than other models! I will report back once I get close to changing them out.

BTW, I think the reduced wear and general quality may have something to do with the load index of 100 (for the 245/45-18 size) ... strong tires, and we need that for our relatively heavy cars.

They are reasonably quiet on the road, tracking well with only a hint of dartiness (needing more attention when driving compared to mushier sidewall tires). The dry/wet handling and wet braking (my personal criterion for what I want in tires) is outstanding.

Of course, like all summer tires, they should never be used below - or even near - freezing temperatures (they will be like slick rocks then!).

Also, the tire is getting excellent reviews at Tire Rack - the ranking is number 1 now in Max Summer Tires: http://www.tirerack.com/tires/surveyres ... e&filter=y

I recently got Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3. Awesome tires so far. No regrets.

I believe that this is an excellent tire too (have not used it myself though). :yesnod

I had the previous first generation Michelin Pilot Sport A/S on my M45 and it was a very good tire - very comparable to the Continental DWS first-gen which I had also tried out.

But the Super Sport is better than both those. In summer temperature conditions only, of course! If you need to get even close to freezing temperatures, then I would not get the Super Sports.

FYI - I am seeing Pirelli has a $70 instant rebate going on and Dunlap has a $40 rebate. Both require 4 tire purchase.
Just got tires for my wife's MB R500 and saw the sales.

Yup Pirelli is doing so as well. I just got a new set. LOVE them so far. They crush the OEM tires with the lack of road noise alone.
