Grant,

I'm a big fan of the Tire Rack, but I have decided that when I put wheels and tires on my car they will be the Centerline Impulse. They're 11.8lbs for a 17x7 and rotary forged. This is unless something else comes along that is better.

My question to you: Can you guys get Centerline wheels? Would you? The selection for those with s14 SE's or with 5 lug conversions is very good, but pretty sparse for those of us with 4 lugs. Do you have any wheels that fit s13's that aren't in the Upgrade Garage?

Thanks for your help.

Andy

Great choice, Andy - I wish I could afford a set for the Q.

Centerlines on a Q? Hell yeah - Old-school musclecar style. Might even try to find some redstripe blackwalls. :D

Hi,We are not a retailer for Centerline Wheels. I've heard very good things about the new Centerline forged wheels. I'ts just not a company we have any dealings with. There are a lot of very good quality wheels we do not sell for various reasons. With over 200 companies making or selling wheels here in the U.S. we have to be very selective. Everything we have available for these cars is listed in the Upgrade Garage when you search by the make, model, and year. All of our wheels are made to O.E. specs or better and the fitments are based on actual test fits on the cars we list them for. Most of the wheels we sell are made to our specs for each application. We don't market wheels by bolt patern and offset. We sell wheels by vehicle fitments that we know will work. You're not going to see us dumping returned wheels that didn't fit a customer's car on some online auction sites ;) Granted we tend to be conservative in our fitments but we want it to fit the first time and every time. I can't tell you how many times a week someone calls me asking what tire size to run with an aftermarket wheel they just bought from someone else. The way we look at it, if you are selling a wheel for a specific car, you should test fit it and be able to tell the customer what tire sizes worked on that wheel on that car. That's the only way to know for sure. :pface

Centerline builds great wheels. I've worked with the brand for many years. I feel they deserve more exposure.

11.8 lbs?? Wow... that is incredible. How much do they go for? I am really interested in these wheels. I always thought centerline made truck wheels but I guess they are doin something right over there. I just wish they werent so shiny... that polished look really isnt my style.

I wonder how well these wheels would hold up in racing applications.

Chet, where is your work in Georgia? I am in Atlanta and really want to find a shop that can test fit some of these wheels onto my car.

Ahh, they dont come in the correct bolt pattern for a five lug se. Darn. The offsets aren't very friendly either. :(

They're listed in 5x4.5", which translates into 5x114.3, which is the SE bolt pattern. They're 42mm offset. The s13 stock offset is 40mm. What is the 5 lug SE?

As far as racing apps, well, they're forged and very light so I would think they would be golden. The bling factor I guess I couldn't really care less about. I've had polished wheels on a few cars and it's never bothered me. The fact that their function is top-notch is what matters to me, not that they shine nice and pretty.

Grant, thanks for your insight. That approach is what I would expect from Tire Rack. Very professional.

Ya know you can get those in bronze too. That would look good on your red s13.
