I am buying some new wheels: Front: 17x7.5 +25 Rear: 17x8.5 +25

I was wondering what size tires would fit the best and which ones people like. I was thinking of running a 235/45/17 in front and a 255/45/17 in back, but I dont know if that will be too big or if i should move to a 40 percentage. I dont want any rubberband tires but I dont want my setup to be too big. This will be an everyday setup so something like the falken zeix should be good. just wanted to know if anyone had an opinion. Thanks

235 sounds kinda wide for front tires. I have 225 on my 8" wide rears and fitment is good. As far as overall height, just search for some tire size calcs online. Its all personal preferance.

As far as sidewall, go with 40% in the rear. That will only be slightly taller overall diameter than stock. this is assuming that you are staying with those widths. But yeah, the tire and wheel calcs are great. Dont worry, 17" are large, but not so large that little 30% rubberbands will be neccassary to keep stock gear ratio

I couldnt tell you about rubbing, but I do know that those are some pretty wide tires for those rim sizes, which will cause bulging and poor response. They will also be heavier and taller than stock, so your effective gear ratios to the ground will be taller, giving you poorer acceleration.

225 or 215-45-17 and 245 or 235-40-17 will work perfect on those wheel sizes.

Invest in a good set of tires. There's plent of reviews and opinions, and my own around (Mine ar ein the FAQ but need updating)-Chet
