OK......I'm running a set of 215-60-15's on my car. It looks like they're a little too big. Does anybody know if I should run a smaller tire or just put some new springs on the car? I ask this because the tires sit right under the spring base on the strut. It looks like they'll rub on it if I hit a bump just right. Am I crazy or should I actually be concerned????? :firedevil

Original equipment on a S13 240SX was either 195-60-15 or 205-60-15 with the sport package; I wouldn't imagine you'd have a problem with a 215-series tire, though I'd probably go with a bit lower of a profile (i.e. 215-50-15, or 215-55-15). I would imagine the stock wheels/suspension could accomodate a 215 tire easily, but I've also never tried, so take that for what it's worth, heh.

The tire/ wheel moves up and down with the strut, so whatever clearance you've got is cool as long as it doesn't touch sitting still it should not rub moving.

ya, like niznos said, if they dont touch when resting, they will never touch. just make sure the dont rub on the wheel well when at full lock.
