So, I have taken some tire screeching turns over the last month or so (I have a favorite spot to do so) usually shift down to second, brake, start the turn and then punch it to get a nice slide and break the tires loose a little bit. No big deal, right? Well, I went in to have my tires balanced and they were off by 2.5oz, not really a surprise. But, before and after the balance my car has felt off. Really sensitive to the road. It was a little better after the balance until I checked my PSI and the tire shop had pumped them up to 40psi!! I put them back down to 32 and my handling and road feel, feels sloppy. The car thuds over potholes etc and sometimes kinda shakes back and forth over bumps, as well (like in old P.O.S cars) the wheel turns into a dip or pot hole when I go over it). Is my camber off? It's not pulling either way and the bi*** only has 10,000 on her so that seems kinda random. Any suggestions? Sorry to be so long winded I just want to ask you guys before I go drop a couple unneccessary greenbacks at the local tire shop. Edit: Stock rubbers & rims

Why do you think its related to the tire balance if you are saying that your car has felt this way before and after the balance? I seriously doubt you are feeling a difference between 32 and 40 psi. Depending on what gauge you are using to measure that, you might not even have changed tire pressure much. Just be sure that all 4 are inflated evenly and that you are within the mfg spec. Generally speaking, an underinflated tire will feel mushy and flex causing poor handling but absorb bumps better. On the other side, the overinflated tire might 'feel' like it handles better but with worse ride quality.

I personally think that after 10k this might just be normal. The suspension might finally be settling in or it might be the tire wear. The stock tires are ok when they are new but in my experience they are pretty underwhelming after a while (even though they may still have plenty of life left). This condition could be accentuated if you haven't rotated the tires yet or the aggressive driving has unevenly worn the tires.

If you really feel like this is abnormal, go to where ever you get your maintenance done and have them check the suspension bushings for wear or binding and also get your alignment checked. If possible, I suggest going to a decent place for the alignment and not just the local Meineke or whatever.
