At 35k miles I replaced the OEM Eagle RSA's, with Dunlop Signatures. At 4k miles steering wheel vibration occured at at 60mph. Took back to tire shop, rotated, rebalanced all 4 tires - still had vibration, though at 45mph. Tire shop indicated there was also an odd wear pattern in the center of the tread. Tire shop advised to drive 1500 miles and return for inspection - they rebalaced again and used different type weights. Most of the vibration went away, however there is a noticeable increase in tire noise, especially at 45mph. Car was aligned (4-w) when new tires installed, also visited dealer and they checked out suspension, all OK.Any ideas? Could the belts be shifting in the tires? Thanks

Your problem is the tire itself. Dunlops SUCK. That's the long and short of it. How many miles do you have on them? Find out if there's a ride guarantee on them and then use it to get better tires.

I agree, I am having the same problem with my OE Continental Touring Contact tires. But I get it when I go over bumps and the tires are cracked. Check the warranty on the tire and you may want to contact the manufacturer.

Good Luck!

UPDATE - - -

Took car to a different tire shop - watched them balance each tire - all tires had 40psi and were way out of balance - this from the shop that installed the tires and rebalanced again a couple of weeks ago. Car now has no vibration and minimal tire noise. Need to talk to original tire shop about their equipment and give them the bill!

Yeah, some tire shops are good and bad some tire shops have very good "sales" people but bad Mechanics. I remember when I took my Dodge to K-mart {when I had the car and when K-mart had a Auto center} Man!!! what a "HELL" of a experence.
