Have you had your windows tinted? I've read reports of metallic tint giving TMPS sensors problems, since the TPMS monitor is inside the car and the sensors transmit via RF.hooper wrote:Is anyone else having problems with the tire pressure warning system.
My light came on the second day of driving. Brought it back to the dealer and he "re-registered" the tire pressure sensors.
Light came back on the next day.
BTW - Tire pressures are about 32 PSI in all tires.
Recommended pressure for 18"s is 33 all the way around, and for 19"s is 35 all the way around. If you have 19" wheels, no wonder the TPMS is going off, you are 3 pounds low.hooper wrote:BTW - Tire pressures are about 32 PSI in all tires.
Not me. Sensors have been notorious problem areas since first debuting a few years ago. I can only assume the suppliers have not figured out all variables to which the sensor will be subject. But, replacing a sensor requires removal of the tire, which necessitates putting a tire removal/installation machine against the rim, which necessitates replacing the tire, which necessitates putting the rim back against the tire removal/installation machine, which necessitates removing wheel weights, which necessitates re-balancing the wheel/tire, which necessitates attaching new wheel weights to the wheel/tire. The fewer times this needs to be repeated, the better off my wheels and tires will be.hooper wrote: If this is the biggest sample defect in a new car, I will give them credit!!
...dmkozak...you got that right.!!!I took my ride in awhile back and talked to the manager regarding the after market wheels. He says "no problem". When dropping off the car, we went over it again...I pick up the car, drive 3 miles to the mall, get out and noticed all 4 wheels damaged by the tire machine.!!! Went right back to the store and the manager says they didnt do it...I hit the curb. I said, yeah right dumb a--, I parked, then drove across the street and parked the wrong way to score the opposite side.. He would not do anything, so I drove his tires for a month, cancelled payment and dropped off the tires before he arrived at work. He calls all pissed, wondering what he is going to do with used tires...I said, "the same thing you do with damaged wheels"...LOL...Sometimes, life is sweet..!!!dmkozak wrote:

My tire Pressure Warning light came on today. Checked all four tires. All have 35lbs. Taking it back to the dealer on Saturday. This is the second time I've had this problem.hooper wrote:Is anyone else having problems with the tire pressure warning system.
