I just replaced my 07 Altima stockers with some new 18" wheels and tires today and the TPMS light came on. The new tires do not have TPMS so is there any way I can run these without having to take it to the dealership to turn off the dummy light? Does anyone know what type of TPMS Nissan uses in their cars? Is it a direct or indirect TPMS? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Where did you get your wheels from? because they either put in regular rubber valve stems or didnt have the scanner to reprogram the sensors, but if they did put the sensors back in they probably didnt put the sensors in their original position.

instuctions on how to do manually should be in your owners handbook in the tire section near the end of the book.

Oreintation of the sensor doesn't matter. Did the break down ur old wheels/tires to remove the sensors to install into ur new wheels?

sometimes the TPMS sensors wont fit on aftermarket wheels. Take your sensors up to a tire shop and see if they can fit them on your aftermarket wheels.

I just replaced my OEM's with SE-R's which had new tires on them. The 05-06 models didn't have TPMS so the new wheels don't have them. I just popped them onto my car with no mods. Is there any way to bypass the TPMS? I really don't need, or care for them.
