I would first like to say that I wish I had found this site years ago. The amount of information available is phenomenal! :chuckle:

I recently traded my '98 Altima in for an '03 G35. The dealer had installed new tires on the vehicle prior to sale. They are Falken Ziex ZE-612 235/45ZR17's. The dealer had them at 40 PSI. The sidewall states a maximum pressure of 51 PSI. The sticker on the vehicle sets the factory tires at 30 PSI.

What does everyone recommend for the tire inflation pressure? In the past on my Altima, I always kept them at 35 PSI (higher then what the sticker on the door recommended). It wasn't as "cushy" of a ride, but I always experienced better handling and fuel economy. I like the feel and handling with the current tires on the G35 at 40 PSI but would like to get some feedback from others.

Thank you in advance!

Jeff

I usually stay between 35-40psi. Usually 37-38 is preferred to me, but is a bit of a personal preference.

I always follow the manufacturer-stated pressure requirements that are on the body label at the drivers-side door.

I do the same as Audtatious. Follow the manufacturers sticker.
