How much pressure does everyone use, and on what kind of tires? I usually run around 38-40 psi on 205/40/17 front and 235/40/17 rear. Just recently I lowered my rears down around 30-32 and I seem to get better traction allowing me to apply more power and take off quicker from a stop without spinning and accelerate harder out of a turn without breaking the rear end loose as easy. I thought the lower pressure would compromise some handling but I have felt no loss in handling or additional flex in the sidewalls. My ride quality seems a little better too.

yea, i think 38-40 is too high anyways. i only run mine that high when auto-xing, your car will definetely get more traction with less air pressure. im not sure what the best is for drag racing but its a lot lower than 40. i would run around 20 for drag, and 30 for normal street driving. and 38-40 for auto-x.

I run 32 psi all tires on the street, 36-37 psi at the race track(like Watkins Glen, not a drag strip).
