Ok, so the other night I was out pretty late, and it was crazy cold when I got in the car.

Drove home, no incidents but when I pulled into my apartment complex, I noticed that the tire pressure light was on. I was pretty tired when I left my friend's place, so I have no idea if it was on when I first got in the car.

I came out the next morning, and it was in the mid fifties, my tires looked fine and the light was not on when I started driving...

I guess my question is: Should the light go off if I have driven enough to warm the tires back up to pressure? I drove for probably 20-30 minutes at highway speed

I probably need to air up the tires anyways, but the dudes at the oil change place will handle that, lol

I had the same thing a few weeks ago when it got cold here. The TPM will turn on the light when the pressure reaches 28psi. It will go out after the TPM see pressure over 29psi.

If your tires were well below 28 psi, the drive home may not have raised the pressure via temprature to the level needed to turn off the TPM light.
