I recommend using about 36 psi, or so, as a good balance between too much (making for a harsher ride) and too little (below the measure point of load index and pressure normally drops 1 to 2 psi every week anyway). You can adjust up or down from 36 psi a bit to get the results you want ...
BTW, with lower aspect ratio tires, it is also more important to keep the pressure right (so measure more often!) - it takes less air to change the pressure than with higher aspect ratio tires, as you may have noticed when you add or remove air to get to the right reading!
Also, most - but not all - tires are 51 psi max pressure nowadays (I don't know about winter tires though!), so 36 psi still meets Q45tech's recommendation above!
