Ok heres what happend. Talked the dealer into letting me take the Versa home for a night before I signed. I took it home. Test drove it around town. Tire blew out on the highway. Dealer replaced tire. I bought the car. Tire monitor light stays on now. I looked it up in the owners manual and it said that its a malfunction with the Tire pressure monitoring system....errrrr i guess i have to take it back to the dealer so they could reset it...

Yeah, I would take it in. Hopefully they have parts in-house for it...

Was it a faulty tire, crap on the road or a pot hole that made the tire go?

Was a nail in the tire that came out on the highway, they replaced the tire with a new one. They prolly just need to reset the TPMS.

Yeah. I would get directions to reset it from the dealer just in case you need it at some point later.

Quick question TheToE,

I actually RTFM on the Versa and I noted that the Tire Pressure Monitor section said that the system may not alert you if you have sudden pressure loss while driving (then what's the point of TPM ???) and I was wondering if your Tire Pressure warning light came on during your flat?

Thanks,

Ya man, it came on during the flat. And it wouldnt go away. When I looked it up in the manual , it said that if the light blinks for 1 minute and then stays solid that its a malfunction in the TPMS, and should be taken to the dealer.
