so i desided to get a winter tire package for my g35 because 18" summer tires are not the ideal for winter driving

so getting a rim and tire package from tire rack for $888 but they say i need to have sensors put in the tire for the tpms to work properly the sensors cost about $450

they say that i can take the sensors out of the tires i have on the car now and put it on the winetr tire package but that means that i have to take it to a shop and have the tire taken off the rim for the sensors i kinda wanted to do it myself and not have to take it to the shop

1. is this true or are they trying to sell me something that i dont need

2. and if true do i need the sensors and what will hapen if i dont put the sensors on the winter tire package

3. i saw some rims and tires off a g35 from 03 for cheap and said it had the stock tires on it would this have the sensors in it and would the sensors work with my car

thanks for all the help

im pretty sure the 03/04 G35 didnt have the TPMS.... Why dont you just live without the tire pressure monitor system. Its not like your car is gonna blow up or run inproperly without them in place....
